Kamal Clarifies On Pyramid Producing Marmayogi

Pyramid Saimira has signed Marmayogi with Kamal Hassan, a multi-lingual multimillion dollar magnum opus, which they will jointly produce with Kamal hassan’s own production Rajkamal International.

Kamal is upset about what appeared in the media that he is going to tie up with Soundarya Rajnikanth’s Ocher studios instead of Pyramid Saimira and hence, he issued the following clarifications in a press statement

Dear Sirs,

I am constrained to write this note to the media. In recent times my film Marma Yogi has been written about a lot. While I am grateful for the coverage, I have to point out that most of the reporting is inaccurate and imaginary. Especially the news item that Rajkamal Films International is planning to produce the film with some company other than Pyramid Saimira Group and another publication which says we have pulled out of the deal with pyramid Saimira Group.

Rajkamal Films International has signed an agreement with Pyramid Saimira Group. Any news to the countrary is a slur on our bonafide partnership. Any union should have consenting partners. One-sided intent does not constitute a partnership and claim to such a union apart from being inaccurate could also become illegal.

In this new era of business discipline concluding deals through the media is not a healthy option at all.

I am well aware that the respected members of the fourth estate are keen on being the first with the “scoop”. I am also aware that journals and news papers of repute would certainly pride themselves on accuracy along with immediacy.

In this case, reports contrary to the business deal already struck between Rajkamal Films International & Pyramid Saimira Group, are inaccurate and immature. While I thank most members of the press who have refrained from publishing such concocted stories, we request those who indulge in such inaccurate reporting to contract our respective publicity departments, who will furnish you with accurate information on a need-to-know basis.

Rajkamal Films International and Pyramid Saimira Group are poised to launch Marma Yogi, a multi-lingual multimillion dollar magnum opus, very soon.

Pyramid Saimira Signs Marmayogi

As we reported earlier Pyramid Saimira International Limited has signed Kamal Hassan’s Marmayogi, a multi-lingual multimillion dollar magnum opus, which they will jointly produce with Kamal hassan’s own production Rajkamal International.

A press note issued by Pyramid Saimira says

• The film is produced by M/s Pyramid Saimira International Limited and M/s Rajkamal International Ltd. The film is based on the detailed story of Mr. Kamal Haasan and Mr. Kamal Haasan is directing the film apart from acing in its lead-role.
• The film will be produced in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu and probably an English version. This is a high-cost, high-value project. We would not like to specify the exact cost of the project at this point.
• The project will be a land-mark project in the technical as well as cinematic qualities and would try to project Indian cinema internationally in the best possible manner.

Kamal Hassan in Anbe Sivam

Kamal Haasan, whose latest release Dasavatharam is making waves across the country. Kamal Hassan started pre-production work on his fourth directional venture Marmayogi.

The “pooja” of the film will be held in Mumbai on Sunday, July 13, 2008. Looks like Kamal is eyeing the Bollywood market that is the reason the movie is being launched at the Grand Hotel in Mumbai.

Marmayogi - Red One camera

Kamal’s Dasavatharam, has hit the theatres and it is making waves across the country with mixed reviews. In his next venture Kamal is said to be using a new digital movie camera called Red One camera in Marmayogi.

Red One Camera is capable of recording at resolutions up to 4096 horizontal by 2304 vertical pixels, directly to flash or hard disk based digital storage. It features a single Super 35-sized CMOS sensor and a cinematography industry standard PL mount.

Red One digital camera was tested shooting the Hollywood film Wanted. Wanted stars James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie Wanted has a target release date of June 27, 2008.

Kajol In Kamal’s “Marmayogi”

Kamal Haasan has begun pre-production work on his new flick ‘Marmayogi.’ Kamal is not only starring ,directing and producing it.

Marmayogi’ is said to be a historical adventure romantic movie with an ‘A’ list of actors. Kamal is trying to rope in a Kajol for his film.

The music of the film will be composed by ace music director AR Rahman. The rest of the cast and crew are being worked out.

Kamal’s Marmayogi in 4 languages

Kamal Haasan’s forthcoming film Marmayogi, to be produced jointly by Walt Disney and Bharat Bala will start soon.
According to reports movie will be made in four different languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.

Chennai born Hema Malini, Bollywood’s the yesteryear dream girl is coming back to Tamil film industry with Kamal Hassan’s next movie Marmayogi. ( she is one of the 40 plus heroines , and still hot! )

Hema Malini was a craze in Bollywood after she made her debut with Raj Kapoor in Sapnon Ka Saudagar and introduced as the “Dream Girl”.

As per reports Kamal Haasan has started works for his next film, ‘Marmayogi ‘ and it would be directed by Kamal Haasan himself. His Dasavatharam is almost complete and is releasing on Jan/14/2008- Pongal

A mega-budget movie produced by Reliance Adlabs and music by A R Rahman. Earlier we reported that Kamal Haasan and Nagarjuna to feature in Reliance ADLABS produced movies.
